Had another fantastic experience at Seafood Gourmet. This has been one of my favorite seafood spots because the quality is consistently outstanding, the portions are generous, and you can tell they genuinely care about taking care of their customers. Nick took great care of me during my visit and happily accommodated my special request. I have some dietary restrictions and needed a salad with no dressing or anything added, and they got it exactly right without making it a hassle. That kind of attention to detail and willingness to accommodate really goes a long way. Ownership is always a pleasure to talk to. I especially appreciate their direct, no-nonsense approach—it's refreshing to deal with people who are straightforward, honest, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they take pride in running a great business and serving quality food. Every time I've stopped by, I've had a great experience. Between the fresh seafood, excellent service, and outstanding hospitality, Seafood Gourmet continues to be one of my go-to spots. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience with Seafood Gourmet. This place really stands out for fresh seafood, quality ingredients, and a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere. You can tell there’s a strong focus on freshness and consistency—everything looks thoughtfully prepared and handled with care. The whole place has that authentic local seafood market and restaurant feel that’s getting harder to find. The staff are friendly and attentive, and everything feels very well-run. The owner was also a pleasure to talk to, which added to the whole experience and made the place feel even more welcoming. If you’re looking for great seafood in Maywood or Bergen County, this is definitely a spot worth checking out

The food was plentiful and delicious. However, the service was a bit slow due to the busy Saturday night. I ordered the fried Combo from Fresh Catch, which came with a salad. The salad dressing was particularly tasty. The Combo included shrimp, scallops, and fillet, all of which were cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the New England clam chowder, which was equally satisfying. For dessert, we both opted for vanilla gelato, which was served at the perfect temperature. Unfortunately, the restaurant closes at 8:00 PM, but we’re already planning our next visit.

What can I say? This spot is definitely a hidden gem in Maywood, NJ. The front has a store full, fresh live, and large cuts of fish with all types of fresh salads. In the back section has a restaurant with the most delicious food I've ever had:WOW!! What can I say, amazing food ,friendly staff ,limited seating, but constantly crowded people moving in and out but today I had to wait more usual due to I had a party of 5,but worth the wait ✋️. COME AND GET IT ,NOW ! Will not be disappointed, I guarantee it.

Seafood Speakeasy! This unassuming Fish Market’s best kept secret is that it operates a restaurant in the back of the marketplace with the freshest catch you’ll find anywhere! Truly so good they will have you hook, line and sinker! The Halibut is to die for and lobster bisque with generous lobster portions. Better yet, if you want your favorite fish cooked a certain way, they’ve got you covered! Blackened swordfish? No worries matey! The room is small, immaculate and intimate yet service is kind, friendly and expedient. Note there is an early dinner crowd of locals, so timing is key. Nonetheless, despite the humble setting Seafood Gourmet churns out the most delicious seafood around, rivaling the most discriminating seafood establishments you can think of. Set sail on a voyage worth taking! PS Did I mention it’s BYOB?!
